World Read Aloud Day is Wednesday Feb 7th!

Get ready bookworms, because we are going to cozy up and

READ ALL DAY for World Read Aloud Day!

All staff and students are invited to wear PJs, slippers, etc. Get cozy!

Each Week this month, we will be learning about a different American Hero that is African American.

Week 1 - Hero of the week in Martin Luther King Jr

Kindness Party Wednesday Feb 14th 11-12

The children will be exchanging valentines at the party.

There are 8 girls and 7 boys in the class.

I ask that you have your child sign their name to the card but leave the classmates names off the valentines/envelopes.

This makes passing out the valentines much easier.

Mrs. Confer’s Winter Conference 2024

1/2 days on Thurs Feb 22nd and Fri Feb 23th

Winter Conferences are on a need basis.

Generally teachers meet with about ⅓ of their families

during Winter Conferences. All parents can make a conference

request if you have concerns and would like to meet.

Unlike Fall, Y5 students do not attend winter conferences.

I will be sending home a note this week to let you know if I think we should meet.

These are the times and days for those wishing to meet.

Wednesday February 21st Evening 4-7
Thursday February 22nd Afternoon 1-5

Reminder that the Leader of the Day will be using an estimation jar this month.
